I. So What's This All About, Then?

Welcome to Gardens of Hecate!

The main aim of this blog is to document and display the progress on my ongoing art/gaming project. In the beginning it was supposed to be a set of converted tabletop miniatures, but then wild things began growing from it. It's still sprouting more and more twisted roots and gnarled branches. :)

To better set the mood, the blog has an appropriately eerie soundtrack, composed by my friend Foox. I understand, of course, that there are such readers who would prefer to explore my blog in silence; for your convenience there is a nice little pause/play button in the sidebar on the left. The music won't start until you want it to.

  1. cool blog!
    like the soundtrack.

I also love how you're turning the steampunk/victorian feel of Malifaux into medieval Europe.

    great job!

    1. I'd love to but unfortunately most of his compositions never get finished, and I don't think there are any of them on the internets for that reason. But if he ever sets up a website or something I'll let you know.

  3. Ana,

I just wanted to write to thank you for developing this wonderfully creative and atmospheric blog. I am not a wargamer (I did paint miniatures when I was much younger), but I love the work you've been doing on here. I write weird fiction as a hobby and love to see the demarcations between fantasy and horror erased--or at least complicated.

Anyway, enough rambling, I just wanted to let you know that you are doing some inspired work.

    Best,

    Ross S

    1. Thank you very much, Ross! :) I'm glad to hear my blog can be enjoyed by readers from outside the wargaming/miniature hobby.

Could some of your weird writings be found somewhere online? I love a good story, and I wouldn't mind giving your fiction a read.
